Frequently Asked Questions

Where does the band name come from?

The name of the band originates from a 45-year-old Finnish murder mystery which took place near the band's home region Espoo, Finland. Back in 1960, four teenagers went camping near Bodominjärvi (Lake Bodom). They were attacked during the night leaving only one of them barely alive.

The triple murder was never solved even though the Lake Bodom case was re-opened in 2004 to no avail as new evidence had come to light. It still remains the biggest and most speculated mystery of Finnish crime history.
